Donald Fornes

Prior to ALI, Don Fornes was founder and CEO of Software Advice, an online destination for reviews of business software applications. He started the company in his spare bedroom in Big Sky, Montana, bootstrapped it to 135 employees in Austin, Texas, and sold it to Gartner, the world’s leading IT research firm. Earlier in his career, Don was an investment banker with Hambrecht & Quist, and a corporate development executive at CRM software company Epiphany.
Don and his wife, Lauren, have four young children. As an instrument-rated pilot, Don has logged thousands of miles as a volunteer for Angel Flight, a nonprofit that arranges free air transport for those in rural communities in need of medical care.
