Prior to ALI, Jim Lytle was managing partner of the Albany office of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, a national law firm where he led the New York State government and regulatory practice and was a member of the firm’s health care practice. Earlier he was assistant counsel to New York Governor Mario Cuomo, the executive director of the Volunteer Legal Service Project, and assistant district attorney in Manhattan.
Recognized for his support of those with disabilities and health issues, Jim is a board member of both the Schuyler Center for Analysis & Advocacy, which lobbies to shape policies improving health and human services in New York, and Spectrum Theatre Ensemble, a Rhode Island theater company promoting participation for those with autism. He is chair of SUNY Empire State’s college council.
