David Hindin

David Hindin brings to ALI deep experience in federal environmental protection. A member of the Federal Senior Executive Service, his distinguished career was at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, most recently serving as director of the EPA’s Office of Compliance. David has led national policy development and program implementation, working with stakeholders at both the federal and state levels to modernize air, water, and waste enforcement programs. His work has reduced pollution through advanced technology monitoring, electronic reporting, data analysis, expanded public transparency, and increased compliance. David was an early champion of evidence-based government to use behavioral science knowledge and research methods to improve program performance. He has been recognized by the Partnership for Public Service for his contributions to protect public health and the environment.
