Kathleen Cox
2021 ALI Fellow

Kathleen Cox brings to ALI experience leading change at some of the country’s most recognized institutions. She served as executive director and chief operating officer of Washington National Cathedral, the second largest cathedral in the U.S., and led the organization through a global recession, a physical repair of the cathedral, and a scaling of programming around collective action by faith groups.

Previously, Kathleen worked at The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, where she served successively as general counsel, chief operating officer, and, ultimately, president and chief executive officer. In this role, she provided national leadership to PBS, NPR, and more than 1,000 public radio and television stations across the country during a time of media and technology transformation.
