Zoran Jolevski

Zoran Jolevski brings to ALI significant experience in foreign relations, diplomacy, and government. His career has been spent in service to his home country of North Macedonia, for which he has served as minister of defense, ambassador to the United States, chief of staff to the president, and first secretary in the Macedonian Mission to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the United Nations in Geneva. Among his many notable accomplishments, he successfully coordinated Macedonia’s response to the refugee crisis during the Kosovo War, helped lead the Ohrid agreement which brought peace to the country, oversaw Macedonia’s successful accession to the WTO, and initiated the first use of the Macedonian army as a peace-keeping force.
