Prior to ALI, Akiko Mikumo spent 35 years as an attorney in New York, London and Hong Kong, advising on mergers and acquisitions globally for Weil, Gotshal & Manges. Ms. Mikumo was the firm’s first Asian partner and first minority member of its management committee, and opened Weil’s Hong Kong office, growing it to one of the leading mergers and acquisitions and private equity practices in the region.
