Prior to ALI, Beatriz Merino was Peru’s first female prime minister and the first female prime minister in Latin America. Ms. Merino has served as the president of Cesar Vallejo University in Peru, was a senator in Peru’s Congress, was the country’s national ombudsman, and led Peru’s tax administration agency, SUNAT.
