Andy Brown
2025 ALI Fellow

Andy Brown brings to ALI expertise in energy and environmental law. He has represented clients in litigation, administrative hearings, matters relating to state energy policies, and the enactment of environmental cleanup regulations in Japan. Andy served in several management roles at the Minneapolis law firm of Dorsey & Whitney, including regulatory affairs practice group chair. Prior, Andy was legislative aide to U.S. Senator Gary Hart.

Andy serves on the board of Making Every Vote Count, a non-partisan nonprofit that promotes and supports public discourse of the U.S. Presidential election system. He is also a board member and past board chair of the Trust for Public Land (Minnesota Advisory Board). Prior, Andy has served as board chair for Environmental Initiative and the Minnesota Citizens League, a nonprofit that seeks to engage citizens in public policymaking.
