Nancy McCain
2025 ALI Fellow

Nancy McCain brings to ALI experience in leadership in community, education and arts sectors. During her time as chair of the Toronto Foundation, she helped guide efforts to connect philanthropy with Toronto’s most pressing needs and focused on shifting power and funding imbalances in Canada’s largest city. Nancy also developed a scholarship program at the University of Toronto for refugee girls to continue their education and has recently been appointed as chancellor at Acadia University. She was president of the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, and chair of numerous organizations and fundraising campaigns in the arts sector including the Next Act campaign at Canada’s National Arts Centre in Ottawa.
